Carlton Hotel, Southsea.

On the corner of Kent Rd and Western Parade. Now flats.
Hi, any idea what year this is?

Hi! We do not have an exact date but I would guess early 1900s based on its history and the style of dress in the photo.

It was first recorded as a hotel in 1894; an application was lodged to convert it into flats in 1939. Presumably due to the War this did not happen, and it was leased to the council as offices for 5 years in 1945.
